How to get there

Cressbrook is located in Monsal Dale, on a minor road between Litton and Monsal Head (which is on the B6465 Ashford to Wardlow road).

CAR: at busy times it can be difficult to park either in the village car park or on High Street. There is some parking near the Church (about 500m to the west of the village) but this can get full also.

BUS: Mondays to Fridays: 2 per day from Tideswell and Bakewell; 1 per day from Castleton; Saturdays: 1 per day from Tideswell and Bakewell; Sundays: no service. Alternatively at Monsal Head (about 2.5km) Every Day: every 2 hours or more frequently from Bakewell and Castleton; or at Litton (about 3km) Mondays to Saturdays: at least 1 per hour from Buxton, Tideswell and Calver Sough; hourly from Sheffield; every 2 hours from Bakewell and Castleton; 2 per day from Chesterfield. Sundays: roughly every 1½ hours from Buxton, Tideswell and Calver Sough; 5 per day from Chesterfield; 3 per day from Sheffield, Bakewell, Castleton and Manchester.
