Uppermill is located on the A670 between Mossley and the junction with the A62 at Bleak Hey Nook.

There is a convenient car park next to the Saddleworth Museum, but if full you may need to park elsewhere in the village.

BUS: Every Day: frequent from Oldham; 3 per hour from Manchester; at least 2 per hour from Ashton-under-Lyne, Delph, Denshaw and Greenfield; hourly from Huddersfield; also Saturdays only: 5 services per day from Holmfirth.

TRAIN: at Greenfield station (about 1km): Every Day: hourly from Manchester and Huddersfield.
